Why there is no offer
Toast pre-qualifies customers automatically from their Toast history. Factors it lists include card processing volume through Toast, time on Toast, business type, ownership verification, business-closure history and bankruptcy status. New accounts start being evaluated after about 3 days of processing cards on Toast.
An open merchant cash advance that pledges your card receivables also stops you from signing a Toast Capital Loan until it is paid off.
My offer disappeared or expired
Toast's FAQ says that if an offer is no longer in your dashboard, you are not eligible at this time. Offers move with current processing volume, projected sales and outstanding balances. A slow month, a change in ownership on file, or a new obligation can make one disappear.
Before assuming the worst, rule out a login problem. Make sure you are signed in with an account that can see Capital, and check with an owner-level user. If it is a technical issue, Toast support is the right place, not a funder.
I borrowed from Toast before. Why nothing now?
Toast says a prior Toast Capital Loan does not guarantee a new offer. Borrowers with an open loan generally cannot take an additional loan once that loan is more than 50% repaid. At that point the path is a refinance, if one is offered. See Toast Capital renewal denied or unavailable.
Options while you wait
- Wait and watch the dashboard if the need is not urgent. A Toast offer may be the cheapest and simplest if it comes back.
- Apply for outside working capital sized on all deposits. ToastFunding covers $25,000 to $5,000,000 for restaurants on any POS, with credit from 500 considered.
- Cut the request to the amount that solves the problem. Smaller asks get approved more easily and cost less.
If you take outside funding that pledges card receivables, a future Toast Capital Loan may not be available until it is repaid. Weigh that before signing.

Questions owners ask
Can I apply for Toast Capital without a pre-qualified offer?
No. Toast says that without a pre-qualified offer in your dashboard you are not eligible at this time. You can join the Toast Capital waitlist from the dashboard.
Does Toast Capital have a minimum credit score?
Toast says there is no credit score requirement to apply and applying does not affect your credit score.
Does outside funding affect a future Toast Capital offer?
It can. Toast says a merchant cash advance with a security interest in card receivables must be paid off before you can sign a Toast Capital Loan. Other commercial loans do not affect eligibility, according to Toast's FAQ.
