Gross sales vs. net deposits
Your POS report shows gross sales. Funders work from what reaches the bank: card settlements after fees and any existing holdback, plus cash, catering and delivery-app deposits, minus transfers between your own accounts. A restaurant with $120,000 in gross sales might show $95,000 in usable deposits. Size your request on the deposit figure. See how total revenue is counted.
Quick self-check
- Open at least 6 months, with statements to show it
- About $10,000 or more a month in deposits
- Few negative-balance days in the last 90 days
- A clear list of current advances or loans and their payments
- An amount and purpose you can explain in one sentence
- If you have an open Toast Capital Loan: your agreement on hand, because card-receivable liens matter
Missing one does not end the conversation. It usually changes the amount, the structure or the timing. Have the documents ready and the review goes faster.
